On 17 November 2011, Carriacou Historical Society Outreach Group held the first of a series of regional meetings. The meeting was held in the Harvey Vale Community Centre and was a tremendous success. The Southern Region includes the villages of Lauriston, L’Esterre, Harvey Vale, Belmont and Bellevue.
Under the title of “Re-igniting our Cultural Heritage”, the meeting included a presentation on the recent archaeological finds, a quiz on the local history of the area and various talks by members of the society.
Eats and drinks were on sale as were several items from the museum shop.
